Echos of Darkness pt.1 Corruption

Drake jumps and lashes out with his foot.

He kicks it and the tiny metal ball flies back at the guard. It hits him in the chest and falls into his waiting arms. The beeping and flashing became very rapid. Theguard looks at Drake with a look of resignation as shock flooded his features. This was all that was seen of him before he became engulfed in the blast. Drake dove away from the b last and managed to get far enough from the explosion that he did not take it full force. The shockwave from the blast did, however, catch Drake and sent him flying into the huge metal doors that he was needing to go through.

Drake hit the doors and he let out a gasp of slight pain as he hit it hard enough to dent the impression on the doors, he was still on the doors and gasping a little bit when the doors suddenly flew open and Drake let out a little whimper as he was startled but he fell on his feet and caught himself. Drake let out another moan as he grabbed his shoulder which was hurt because of the hit and tried his best to shake it off as he went through the blast doors.

You find yourself inside a large chamber with dull gray flooring, high ceiling, many large round pillars running from floor to ceiling, lots of viewports, and three doors at the opposite end of the room...and no sign of the mysterious buyer. But one thing you DO know is that you are sure he fled in here. He had to have gone through one of those three doors...but which one, you do not know.

Drake looks at the opposite end of the large room or chamber more or less, and sees the three doors which one of them the buyer fled through. Drake pondered as he began to run toward the doors, as he reached them he ddin't have a clue which one has the buyer in it so he went to the on on the far left.

From where Drake was standing, he approached the door on his far left. Drake pushes a button on a terminal placed to his right of the door and the door parts in the middle and both sides *HISS* aside, revealing a small circular room within. Drake steps in and the doors close once again. The turbolift begins to drop and begin it's plumet to whatever awaited Drake. After a few seconds, the turbolift comes to a stop and the doors part. Drake stepped into the room which was no doubt a hangar bay. One lone ship sits in the middle and behind it is a huge opening in the wall that revealed a large portion of Courascant. There is one door on his left that leads to the control room. There is nothing else and no sign of the buyer. But Drake knew that this ship had to be the buyer's transport.

With Drake seeing no sign of the buyer he was chasing, he decided that investigating the ship and perhaps destroying it will just make it that much easier in his mission. So he quickly jobs over to the ship, his feet making padded muffles on the floor as he runs, and he is soon on the sad of the ship and begans to investigate it.

You investigate the ship. The only things of use you find are the owner's datapad and the ship itself.

((I might remind you that in the earlier stages of the game, your ship was destroyed.))

Drake quickly tucks the datapad into his cloak pocket and hurrys off fo the ship and then makes his way out of the hangar bay and then back into the circular elevator room and waits for the it to hiss to a stop back at the top. He then exits the room and takes the door that is in the middle.

((dude, I might of had you get invaded while riding the turbolift. Your stealing the story again. But I wasn't going to do anything so it's cool. But be mindful of the story padawan...LOL))

The cold metal doors part. In the cavernous room beyond is row upon row of deactivated security Droids, unfinished weaponry and armor, and a computer terminal/workbench on the far wall.

((My bad dude, still new at this mane and from now on i will take it one room at a time... and yeah, Padawan is a perfect word for me.... Master LOL))

Drake begins to search through the room by observing the unactivated droids, weapons, and armour. He slowly makes his way to the computer terminal on the far side of the room, still weary of his surroundings, and begins to study it.

In all the mechanical mayhem you search through, you find a pile of mechanical parts in a trash bin. Most still look operable but for reasons you can't explain, they were going to trash them. Do you search this pile or move to the computer terminal?

Drake ponders on the thought before he continues to search through the pile for some more clues to what they were doing with these exceptional parts.

Inside the small container of spare parts, you find a part that could be salvaged and used for a lens chamber for a lightsaber. When ready and experienced enough to construct a saber, you can use this part to house your lenses and crystal.

Drake smiles and nods as he finds this part and quickly stows it away in his cloak pocket along with the datapad from the buyer's ship, he then starts to walk to the terminal and see if anything could be found or learned there.

You now stand before the computer terminal. It stands as tall as you and runs almost the entire length of that wall. Most features seem to be operational, multi-colored lights are splattered all across the panels. Some are twinkling, some flashing, and some just remain lit up. There are also a few display screens up and running and scrolling data across their displays. This data is useless, however, because all information that flashes across the screens are mechanical notes, data, or technical read outs of the projects spread throughout thye room behind you.

Upon closer inspection though, you do find a section of the terminal reserved for communications. However, this section is not operational. What do you do?

Drake looks at the system of the terminal used for communications, but is unoperational, so after a second glance or thought towards it Drake turns around and begans to make his way back through the room and to the door he entered through.

You approach the door and *HISS*...it opens. There, you stand face to face with a human dressed in atire that suggests that he is a mechanic. He stands a few inches shorter than yourself and has smeared stains of black goop covering his hands and streaked in spots of his pale complected face. He is busy with some part he is holding and upon looking up and seeing you, his eyes widen in shock. He then stammers his words as he turns and begins to run from the room.

"INTRUDER!!!!"

Drake sighed heavily as he takes out his saber and its crimson blade shines in the room as he takes off toward the mechanic, and tries to silence him before he screams out more and has more attention drawn to him.

it's a natural 20, which means a critical hit. This is automatic hit and double damage. Roll 2D8 for your lightsaber's damage and double the result.

Poor mechanic....
